Once the water is brought to a boil pour a small amount of the hot water into the teapot to warm to the pot, once the water begins to cool pour out the initial water. Pour the hot water into the teapot and add one bag or one teaspoon (2 grams) of leaves per cup, plus an additional teaspoon or bag ‘for the pot’. Allow the tea to steep for 3 to 7 minutes depending on the type of tea you have selected; the longer the tea is given the stronger the tea will become, do not exceed 7 minutes or the tea may become bitter.
Sears Roebuck (Roebuck was from Lafayette) and Montgomery Ward’s brought up-to-the- minute items to the rural areas. They sold everything from socks to houses. They opened the gate for rural folks to be as fashionable as New York or Philadelphia folks. Several Sears homes remain throughout Lafayette. In fact, the farm house at Prophetstown SP is built on a Sears home plan.
After the 1840’s, when the industrial revolution was well on its way, stores didn’t need to rely on local craftsmen. Areas that didn’t have a particular craft produced by a local, could still offer those items.
Durdel’s is a classic “corner guitar shop,” small in size but with good selection. They carry Paul Reed Smith,. Peavey, Reverend, Godin, and all the major brands. Yet what is really terrific is that they also carry guitars made by Denny Kopp, a Toledo area luthier. His guitars (mainly jazz oriented, although the Kopp 419 Blue Collar model could easily play blues or rock n’ roll) feature names that evoke the Toledo music scene, including the “Tedrow” guitar. Tedrow refers to the street that used to be the home of Rusty’s, an old jazz club that was home to many jazz greats, local and touring.
It is easy to get lost in big projects, so mini projects can be really useful for two main reasons. Firstly, as long as the mini project fits into the overall scheme of things (see Step Two) then you shouldn’t get lost, you will always have your point of reference. Secondly, most people fitness evolution projects less daunting and easier to get started on. They also find them easier to plan out and take ownership of.
Our politicians need to stop making scape goats and heroes and concentrate on facts. The first fact is, Mr. President, I did build that business by my own ingenuity and hard work. However, Mr. Romney, I needed to count on the government to provide security, infrastructure and the rule of law to be successful. When I opened my first business more than 40 years ago, I never worried what I would pay in taxes if successful, I only worried about success. The tax rate never stopped me from going into business. Going into business is what I do just like an actor acts and a clergyman prays. What I so need of my government is consistency in laws, and tax rates and regulation. For my planning purposes I want to know what i can expect, today, tomorrow and next year.
A conservative stock market. I think this year that the Dow will try to move slowly to a higher level. In other words, instead of bouncing all around, I think we should look for a slow move towards 14,000 and modest gains in the domestic stock market.
